Boise Idaho

My hobby of hunting started when I was 11 years old when I was given a turkey call. I thought it was the coolest thing that I could talk to an animal with this call so I learned as much as I could about turkey hunting because I knew the season was only a couple months away. During that first season I quickly became very skilled at calling turkeys and coyotes but I knew I need another challenge. That’s when my hobby of hunting turned into my obsession; I started hunting everything that I could in California.

When I was 15 we made the move to Boise Idaho, what I thought was going to be the worst experience of my life turned into the best thing that could have happened to me. The game laws in Idaho are so different than in California and it seemed like there were greater opportunities for me to hunt in Idaho. The move also helped me find one of my greatest passions in the hunting sport, waterfowl. I hunt deer, elk, upland game, varmints and predators, but my favorite is when I wake up at 3AM and go sit in a blind for hours in sub freezing temperatures. I love it when the ducks are flying and working my decoys but there is nothing better than hanging out with good friends and your dog seeing sights that most people will never have the chance to see.

Besides hunting I love going shooting, 4x4, fishing, camping, watching college football (Go BSU!) and spending time with my wife, son, family and friends. I love to introduce new people to the hunting or shooting sport as well. I am a Certified NRA Instructor, an Assistant Boy Scout Leader and an active member of the Southern Game Calls Pro-Staff.

Thank you for visiting huntducks.com, good luck hunting and don’t forget to take a youth hunting.
