Hello my name is Tina Brooke. I live in Central Missouri right between some premier public duck hunting areas. My father died when I was young and I only recently in the last 8 years learned how to duck hunt from my area Conservation Agent. I grew up in a family that is passionate about hunting and it is a large part of our life. I am currently in law enforcement and when duck season rolls around I use every spare moment I have to be in the area marshes hunting ducks or doing photography.

I have a 3 year old mix breed, lab and german shorthaired pointer, that I took a stab at training to duck hunt with me. Dorey now goes everywhere with me and she does retrieve a few ducks for me when the time comes. She is no grand champion field trial dog by any means, but she is my first duck dog. Huntducks.com to me is the ideal spot to get information on where I can go duck hunting. I do not own any land or marshes to go to so I normally rely totally on public access. I do want to broaden my horizons with other areas and states so Huntducks.com has the information that I want.

I am a member of Ducks Unlimited and have served as an area committee chairman. I am very interested in getting other women to duck hunt. It is always surprising to me when I go to the morning draw and I am the only woman in the whole room. There may be 100 men around me but I am the only one standing in the poor line. Duck Hunting to me is a perishable sport that we have to constantly maintain with conservation and ethical hunting.
