Jon was born in Michigan and got his start in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula Chasing rabbits and Rough Grouse. He is an avid hunter pursuing deer, turkey, small game, and especially Waterfowl. He also is very proud to pass on his hunting heritage to his three children.

Jon also owns and operates Duck Creek Kennels in SW Michigan and guides pheasant hunts in the fall. He is also a committee member of Michigan’s Rabbit River Ducks Unlimited Club and member of the Great Lakes Hunting Retriever Club. In the off season he can be found in the field training dogs for the fall and for Hunt Test and Field Trials.
