Andy McDaniels is Hard Core Decoy's Conservation Director.  An avid water fowler and upland game bird hunter, Andy grew up hunting and fishing in the most diverse state in the United States. Immersed in conservation activism at an early age, his grandfather started the Oklahoma Outdoor Council in 1950 which became the Oklahoma Wildlife Federation. In 2002, Andy accepted the position of Executive Director of the Oklahoma Wildlife Federation. As director, he unified diverse interests on various national and state conservation issues including the Wetlands Conservation, Farm Bill, State Wildlife Grants, and public-private land issues. In addition, he started the Conservation Coalition of Oklahoma, which included organizations such as Safari Club International, the Nature Conservancy, Quail Unlimited, the National Wild Turkey Federation and others. The coalition became a formidable force for promoting the Farm Bill and state wildlife action.

These outreach efforts to hunters, anglers, congressional members, political groups, and citizen action organizations would later garner him the esteemed Charlie Shaw Conservation Partnership Award from the National Wildlife Federation in May 2008. Andy is a Hard Core Conservationist.
